A mission that began in 2011
Missão África began after a journey to Mozambique brought its founders face to face with families living in extreme poverty. The organization describes a simple purpose: bringing practical help, care and hope to people who need them most.
Its administrative headquarters are in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil, while its community work takes place in Mozambique. Its projects cover education, nutrition, health, agriculture, malaria prevention and access to clean water.

Education, meals and a place to grow
The Eva e Lilito Educational Center, known as CEMA, supports children in vulnerable circumstances with education and early literacy, daily meals, uniforms, school supplies and care. These essentials help children learn and create opportunities for their future.

Nutrition and support for families
At Missão África's Nutrition Center, children receive weekly follow-up from the nutrition team until their growth reaches the expected range for their age. During visits, mothers and children receive meals and take part in activities that support children's development.
The organization also describes monthly food baskets containing staples such as rice, beans, flour, oil and sugar, together with fortified food prepared for children experiencing malnutrition. On its project page, Missão África reports supporting 60 families in Nhamainga, in the district of Dondo. This is a figure reported by the partner, not a donation count on GG Foundation.

Community health and local partnerships
Missão África supports a malaria diagnostic laboratory through a local health worker. The partner states that prevention, diagnosis and treatment are free for the community and reports an average of 150 patients a month.
Its project page also lists partnerships with the Sipanche Nutrition Center, Jehovah Jireh Community School and Pequenos Começos Community School.
How support helps
This is an ongoing community program rather than a fundraiser with a published monetary target. Support helps sustain the education, food, health and care projects described by Missão África. GG Foundation's donation options on this page are one-time contributions in US dollars; they do not enroll you in the separate monthly sponsorship program offered on the partner's own website.
The partner does not publish an individual donation history or supporter-comment feed on the pages reviewed.
