Hello. I am Ángel's mom, and I want to tell you a little bit about my son.
"Hello, my name is Ángel. I am 8 years old. About eleven months ago, the doctors told me I have lymphoblastic leukemia. I was also born with something called bilateral amelia — I don't have arms. I have never had hands."
He learned to do everything with his feet. Drawing. Writing. Eating. Bathing. Wiping himself in the bathroom. Everything that the rest of the world does without thinking, my son had to figure out how to do — with his feet, all on his own, at 3, at 5, at 8 years old.
And now, on top of that, he is fighting cancer. Every morning is a battle for his body to survive another round of chemotherapy. There are days with fevers. Days with infections. Days when the pain wins and he cries, and there is nothing I can do other than hold him.

"There are days when I get very sick and days when I can't bear the pain and I cry, but my mom is always here with me. What hurts the most is not being with my brother. He is my best friend, the one who helps me with everything when my mom has to work to bring food home."
We have been living inside this hospital for eleven months. I sleep here, by his side. His older brother is home alone while this happens, waiting for us. The doctors say the treatment will last for years.
This is what I am asking for, honestly and without hiding anything: money for his prosthetic arms and money for hospital expenses that never stop — medications, food, transportation, and the rent that keeps running while I cannot work because I cannot leave my son alone.
This is exactly what your donation achieves: $20 buys the medication that gets him through a bad night. $50 covers a day of food and transportation for both of us here at the hospital. $100 pays for hospital supplies for a week. $250 truly brings us closer to the prosthetic arms he has wanted his entire life.

"I want a normal life. To run, to jump, to eat everything I can't eat right now and, above all, for the three of us to be together again. Thank you, and I hope I can touch your heart and you can help me with a little bit." ♥️
If you cannot donate, please share this page. That is how strangers found us, and strangers are the only reason we are still standing.
